About Voises
Easily create and share audio stories.
Who we are
In 1934, a show called Lights Out began airing at midnight from NBC’s Chicago studios. At an hour when most stations played music, it offered something unusual: a radio drama. A clock struck twelve. A gong sounded. Then a voice: “It… is… later… than… you… think.”
Two years later, a man by the name of Arch Oboler took over. Under Oboler’s direction, actors became people you couldn’t see but couldn’t forget. Sound crews turned everyday objects into extraordinary things. Fried bacon became an electrocution. Snapped spareribs became breaking bones. A whole world, conjured through a speaker.
We’re still captivated by that idea. Give someone a voice, a few sounds, and a good story, and their imagination takes it from there. Voises puts that possibility in your hands.
You can make it all from your phone: the writing, the voices, the music, the sounds that make a place feel real. Then share your story, chapter by chapter, with people who want to hear what happens next.
We’re building Voises for the person who has carried a character around for years. For the scene scribbled in a notebook. For anyone who has heard a story in their head and wished someone else could hear it, too.
Voises is made in Canada by a small team of creatives, engineers and storytellers.
